Pore Pressure Fracture Gradient (PPFG) Specialist

Position: Pore Pressure Fracture Gradient (PPFG) Specialist

Location: West and East Malaysia

Commence: Year 2023

Criteria:

  • Provide Geological Operations support during well planning stage and drilling of the well.
  • Ensure data acquisition program is executed as per program: Monitor tool availability, prepare detailed logging instructions, monitor and advise wellsite geologist and third-party logging services, provide QC during drilling and logging operations.
  • Liaise with Drilling and Subsurface teams during drilling and data acquisition operations.
  • Advise Subsurface team on the optimized data acquisition program during well planning stage and to be cost effective.
  • Assist in writing and/or editing data acquisition programs, Well Proposal and Geological Completion Reports.
  • To overlook mudlogging, LWD, wireline and any data acquisition contracts.
  • To help with managing the Wellsite Geologist (WSG).
  • To help prepare PPFG analysis of during well planning stage and during drilling operations using Company Predict software in a timely 
  • manner using available LWD dataset and drilling data.
  • Assist in preparing Validation Report and liaising with PPFG specialists 
  • To help with PPFG write-up for Well Proposal and Geological Completion Reports.
  • To help perform Pore Pressure (PP) predictions during drilling operations using available LWD and drilling dataset. Monitor well on a 24 hours basis with support of PP prediction services onsite.
  • Advise Drilling and Subsurface teams on expected PP development, prepare daily reports and updates at regular intervals.
  • To help supervise onsite PP prediction services during drilling operations.
  • Perform weekend duty as Operations Geologist and stand-in for subsurface Operations Geologist when necessary.

Offshore/Onshore Drilling EHS Advisor

Position: Offshore/Onshore Drilling EHS Advisor

Location: West and East Malaysia

Criteria:

  • Ensure the COMPANY EHS Management System requirements are communicated and implemented on the rig
  • Conduct and participate daily safety meeting including morning meeting, pre-tour meeting, toolbox meeting and also weekly general safety meeting.
  • Safety inspection on weekly, monthly basis. Areas of inspection such as procedures, Permit to Work (PTW), JSA, Equipment Integrity, emergency response procedure, drill and exercise, emergency equipment, lifting equipment, high pressure equipment, chemical storage/handling, lifesaving equipment, hygiene and cleanness.
  • Participate in the investigations of incidents and accidents, advice and assist line management in writing reports, analysis of root cause and follow up for the implementation of recommendations
  • Conduct COMPANY safety inductions and COMPANY expectations for all crew including COMPANY safety rules.
  • Conduct Time off for Safety to all crew.
  • Daily monitor safety observation program, all open items will be extracting and tracking for the close out.
  • Responsible for monitoring/update Drilling Campaign Action Register 
  • Participate/facilitate in Risk Assessment (RA) on the rig.
  • Assist Drilling Supervisor in implementing, monitoring and review of Company EHS Objectives, Plans

  • Maintenance of HER register, Incident report, Lessons Learned databases and other associated records of the EHS Management System.

  • Deliver cost effective drilling fluids and waste management engineering solutions for input into the design of exploration, appraisal, and production wells for COMPANY’s operations, including Wellbore Stability, Reservoir Damage minimization, Logistics, Hole Cleaning / ERD considerations, Environmental, Drilling Fluids Waste management, Solids Control Management etc.
  • Drive performance from Drilling Fluids and cementing service providers. Audit service Company performance offshore and assure compliance to contracts. Get the best value for money for Company on drilling fluid spend.
  • Report directly to offshore Lead DSV, with consultation to onshore team, mainly Drilling Fluid and Cement advisor and D&C Superintendent.
  • To provide operational support in the areas of Fluids and cement design, troubleshooting, new product/system introduction and technical requirements during operation.
  • To work closely with the offshore logistics departments in particular in monitoring the bulk transfers from base to rig.
  • To perform QA/QC of Service Suppliers procedures and work instructions.
  • Administration of PR and PO in MAXIMO / SAP. To provide support to the Contract Focal and assurance of respective contractor compliance as per contract. 
  • As a Technical Focal Point at offshore for Drilling Fluids and cementing Service providers.
  • To assist and advice/ provide recommendation Drilling Supervisor on technical solution on mud and cement during operation

  • To provide advisory upon decision made by Company’s Lead Drilling Supervisor and/or D&C Superintendent (or it’s designated).
  • To capture all lessons learnt (incl. AAR) into Company’s data base and actively participate in Lessons Learnt/QAQC operation.
