Duration: 1 Year with extension option

Rotation: 28/28 days for Offshore based Consultants

a) DeepWater Wells Offshore Sabah

b) Drillship

• Must have work experience in Deepwater.

Drilling Fluid Engineer

Position: Drilling Fluid Engineer
Location: Peninsular Malaysia
Commence: Q12020
Duration: 1year with extension option
Criteria:-

• BSc in Engineering
• Min 5years relevant oil field experience
• On site supervision of drilling fluids operation, specifically offshore is required
• Previous exposure to Water Based Mud Systems AND OIL Based Mud Systems
• Work related experience in Malaysia is preferred, although not essential
• Work related experience in S.E Asia Malay Basin is required
• Previous experience in tender preparation and evaluation for drilling fluid services, drilling fluid storage facilities, drilling fluid equipment rental etc is required
• Intimate knowledge of drilling fluids effects on wellbore stability in stratified formations
• Drilling Fluid optimization in best practices with the objective to obtain the most cost effective and lowest drilling fluid cost per meter drilled

• 7years experience as an onsite Mud Engineer
• Knowledgeable in all areas mud design, mud additives characteristics and rig mud facilities
• Knowledgeable in areas of lost return abatement, seepage control, ballooning and hole stability management
• Able to conduct test or interpret test results for proper control of mud properties
• Familiar with EMDC's borehole behavior control and strategy
