Scaffolding Inspector

Position: Scaffolding Inspector
Location: Offshore Malaysia and Thailand
Commence: Mar2016
Duration: 1year with extension option
Criteria:-

• Expert in the career of safe scaffolding and rigging sling by starting from the step of planning through implementing
• Have CITB certification and CITB inspection certification or equivalent e.g. Falck/TPTI - Scaffolding Safety Inspection
• Knowledgeable in portable scaffolding materials identification, standard code, signal, OJT and certification
• Min 6years offshore and onshore scaffolding experience
• Self-leading, advice and deciding of scaffolding for crew team
• Competent in English communication skill (crane/radio operator talk)
• Understanding of portable scaffolding materials maintenance
• Preparing daily report and daily activities
• Have advance Scaffolding certification from recognized training institution e.g. Falck Nutec/TPTI or equivalent
• Meet international safety standard
• Experience in the type and complexity of scaffold inspecting and specific configuration of its inspection
• Knowledgeable in the inspection and maintenance of scaffolding materials and safety equipment e.g. full body harness with shock absorber lanyard etc
• Knowledge in the practical of required safety inspection for all types of scaffolding structures and general safety regulation
• Proper practice the sequence of the erection, alteration and dismantling of slung scaffolding
• Inspect scaffolding from the SCAFFTAG system

Criteria:-

• Certificate of competency Scaffold Safety Inspection, and/or National Vocational Qualifications equivalent.
• Familiarity with Shell Management System, and other best HSE best practices.
• Formal qualifications in scaffolding
• 5years experience in scaffolding and working at height with a construction or maintenance scaffolding background in the petroleum/gas/chemical industry.
• Relevant training that would enhance the ability to fulfill the job requirement.
• A working knowledge of Engineering maintenance, construction, inspection, civil and workshop practices
• Construction Safety.
