Construction Engineer (Topside)

Position: Construction Engineer (Topside)

Location: Korea, Myanmar

• BSc. / MSc. / MEng. or equivalent in engineering (preferred) or significant relevant industry experience
• Preferably a Registered Professional, Chartered Engineer or member of Professional Engineering Society
• Preferably PMP or equivalent project management certifications
• Minimum fifteen (15) years of work experience of which at least ten (10) years must be in the upstream Offshore Oil & Gas industry
• At least 5 years of experiences in the upstream Offshore Oil & Gas industry in Client side
• Strong Technical Background of Construction Area for Offshore EPCIC project
• Previously worked on integrated projects with CAPEX in excess of $300MM.
• Preference to have Topside fabrication experience over 10,000 MT (Dry) or large O&G Modules in Korean shipyard as Construction Engineer or equivalent
• Desirable for previous experience working on projects which include brownfield scope of work
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the construction and fabrication of offshore platform, particularly in Topside of Fixed Platform.
• Shall possess good knowledge and awareness of construction, fabrication and HSE matters including schedule, planning, progress measurement, technical and methodologies and be familiar with bridge linked fixed platform construction and brownfield construction
• Must have previous experience working with Korean shipyard(s) and have knowledge of fabrication and construction work processes, environment and characteristics of Korean shipyards
• Must possess a good understanding of the basic discipline work processes of a EPCIC project
• Must be well versed with relevant international codes and standards such as API, ASME, ISO and AWS
• Ability to multi-task, forward plan, independently manage time and perform at a high level without the need for continuous supervision
• Proactive, self-motivated, with an ability to prioritize work and make decisions to meet deadlines
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Fluency in English, with excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong interpersonal skills, exercising tolerance and respect when working within a diverse and multi-national project team
• Ability to oversee work and provide mentoring to inexperienced engineers
