Lead Commissioning Engineer

Position: Lead Commissioning Engineer
Location: Malaysia
Duration: 2 years
Optional: 1 year extension
Commence: Jan2009
  • BSc in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering or equivalent with minimum of 12 years, or Diploma in Engineering with minimum of 16 years hand on Experience in O&G Facilities Precommissioning, Commissioning and Initial start up. 
  • 5 years in leading role
  • good overview of how the O&G production facilities operate and have an experience to take a lead to start up Oil and Gas production facilities.
  • good overview of PLC based Alarm & Shutdown, Fire & Gas, Distributed Control, Quality Measurement, Gas Compressor Control, Turbine Control and Motor/pumps control systems
  • good overview of Power Generation & Distribution system, Smart Motor Control Centre, HV and LV Switchgear, Diesel Emergency Generator and Controls, Turbine Generator and controls, Synchronizing Panels, Uninterruptible Power Supply, Battery Chargers, LV Switchboard and Local Control Panels.
  • good understanding of SIMOPS philosophy/concept.
  • good understanding of Hazard Effect Management Process (HEMP).
  • good knowledge of Piping, Static and rotating equipment operation as well as System Reinstatement Leak Testing of Piping and Topside facilities. 
  • able to read and interpret PEFSs (P&IDs).
